  • Find veins that are suitable for venipuncture.
  • Draw blood using sterilized needles.
  • Draw to correct tubes following the order of draw.
  • Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples.
  • Label samples correctly and send or deliver them for testing.
  • Answer patient questions and provide useful information.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working.

In this comprehensive course, students will gain the skills necessary to:

  • Perform setup and administration of EKGs (Electrocardiograms) and stress tests.
  • Prepare patients for Holter or ambulatory monitoring.
  • Edit and deliver final test results to physicians for analysis.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Transcribe physicians’ interpretations accurately.
  • Class sessions will be conducted every other month on Sundays only.

Phlebotomy

  • Master hands-on Phlebotomy skills.

  • Reassure patients and create a relaxing environment.
  • Locate veins suitable for venipuncture.
  • Safely draw blood using sterilized needles.
  • Follow the correct order of drawing for drawing blood into different tubes.
  • Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples.
  • Accurately label samples and send them for testing.
  • Address patient questions and provide valuable information.
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant health and safety standards.

Developed in accordance with the latest American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED training covers a range of crucial topics.
Key Learning objective:

  • Recognizing signs of choking and appropriate response techniques.
  • Proper victim positioning for optimal assistance.
  • Identifying symptoms of cardiac arrest and responding promptly.
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illness and injury
  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
  • Adult Child CPR AED and Infant CPR and AED use

This comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively respond to emergencies, focusing on changes and updates in current BLS guidelines. Participants will gain proficiency in recognizing the signs of choking, understanding proper victim positioning, and identifying symptoms of cardiac arrest.
Key Learning Objectives: Choking Response:

  • Recognize different signs of choking.
  • Learn and practice various techniques for responding to choking incidents.

Victim Positioning:

  • Understand and apply the proper position for a victim in emergency situations.

Cardiac Arrest Symptoms:

  • Identify symptoms associated with cardiac arrest.
  • Develop the ability to respond promptly and effectively to cardiac emergencies.

Become an AHABLS/CPR Instructor
Becoming an American Heart Association instructor is easy after consulting with an American Heart Association Training Center to find out whether the Training Center (TC) is accepting new instructors and the TCC’s (Training Center Coordinator) preferred course delivery. The steps are simple – get started today!

Be accepted by your local AHA Training Center before enrolling in an Instructor Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that Training Center.

Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Upon completion of this course you will be able to provide training through American heart association.

This course is designed to prepare students for a variety of medical office and clinical tasks, including:

  • Efficiently check patients in and out upon arrival and departure
  • Answering phone calls and addressing patient inquiries
  • Assisting healthcare providers with exams and procedures
  • Administering injections
  • Working with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Perform Phlebotomy & EKG
  • Taking patient vital signs
  • Schedule appointments
  • Class Schedule Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm
  • Duration: 2 months Weekends Only
